Children at this stage grow more independent, and are more social and communicative. They start to to have a a sense of of other people’s emotions and boundaries. They are curious, imaginative and have an innate desire to learn and absorb information from their surroundings.
At our preschool program, we encourage children to complete simple daily tasks and do more for themselves. More structured activities are provided in smaller groups to encourage prolonged concentration. We encourage them to communicate their needs and solve conflicts via words when playing with others.
Mandarin Language
We continue to expand nouns and verbs, while introducing simple adjectives and adverbs to describe things. Children are able to produce short and complete sentences in Mandarin. They will also be able to recognize 30 to 50 basic Chinese characters.
